About the Writers

Ellie Egleton
I really enjoy writing for FCCR. It's so much fun talking to my comic idols and one day I would really love to be involved in the creation of comics. My biggest inspiration and person I want to meet is Stan Lee as along with his artists, he created most of the Marvel Universe. My favourite character is Jean Grey as when I was little we brought a video of the 90's X-Men TV series of the Dark Phoenix Saga arc. Then for christmas I got the Marvel Legends green Phoenix action figue. What I love about reading comics is that me and my little sister, Lily can create great things and games out of it like making FCCR and playing with our beloved Super Hero Squad collection. I have also had a letter published in X-Men First Class Speical #1.

Lily Egleton:
Me and my sister Ellie have grown up reading comics. When I was 2-3 years old, Dad read me the old Spectacular Spider-Man comics featuring Black Cat. He also read me Daredevil with Black Widow. My favourite character has always been Black Cat. I have also always liked Black Widow, Kitty Pryde, Ms. Marvel, Rogue, Storm, Medusa and Batgirl. Me and my sister love to play Marvel Super Hero Squad, we’ve got all of them except for Absorbing Man. I also love Mini Mates. I’ve got most of my favourite characters. I put mine on my bedroom shelf to keep them all together. I’ve got some hero-clix as well. I mainly get them from Comic Conventions in London loose as you never know which ones you’ll get in a packet!

Arun Kakar:
Has been reading comics for about two years now and to write about them is just really honouring the books he loves. To be able to share a hobby is one thing ,but to share it with a whole community of fans is another and he is thrilled to be onboard the FCCR ship!

Abi Penryhn-Lowe:
Hi, my name is Abi. I am so thrilled to be a part of this. When the creator of this magazine, my dear friend Ellie, told me about the production of this magazine I was more than happy to get involved. I’ve loved Manga all my life without ever realizing it. It was only when I joined my recent secondary school that I learned more about it, and came to love it even more. And so, to show other people how great Manga really is please read my Manga Corner pages!

Kieran Pereira:
I enjoy writing FCCR and was really chuffed that i was asked to do the 'tech stuff' and from there i have become the writer a sitcom review to the writer of Tech-Corner! Despite myself never actually reading comics or knowing much about them i take pleasure in writing about all the newest comic tech and the amout i have learned from the ever knowledgeable Ellie Egleton and Arun Kakar about comics is amazing! Typically i am regarded as more of a musician, playing several instruments, so if there is a music comic out there let me know!

Beth Vince:
Hi! My name is Beth I am 14. I like to draw and I love anime and Manga. My favourite books and series are Vampire Knight, Shakugan No Shana and Fruits Basket. My favourite anime films are Ghost in the Shell and Spirited Away.
